The player topped the field of the 2015 PCA $100,000 No-Limit Hold’em Super High Roller 8-Handed event. He collected $1,872,580 for emerging victorious over a total of 49 other experienced players. And this was and still is his largest live cash so far.
Two weeks later, O’Dwyer finished 6th in the 2015 Aussie Millions Poker Championship A$25,000 No-Limit Hold’em Challenge to receive A$156,000 ($126,181). In March, the player took down the field of the 2015 Macau Poker Cup HK$20,000 No-Limit Hold’em event to scoop HK$993,120 ($127,925) from the entire prize pool.
His next major achievement was his 3rd place in the EPT Season 11 Grand Final €25,500 No-Limit Hold’em High Roller 8-Handed event. His share of the prize pool amounted to €528,700 ($589,297).
Two weeks ago, O’Dwyer triumphed in the Fennia Grand Slam € 5,100 No-Limit Hold’em 6-Max Freezeout, held in Helsinki, Finland, capturing a payout of €35,550 ($38,990).
Overall, the player’s live tournament earnings currently amount to $10,067,941. O’Dwyer can boast of an EPT Main Event title as well as first places in a number of other prestigious events.
In November 2014, he emerged victorious in the APPT Asia Championship of Poker HK$500,000 Super High Roller to collect a total of HK$14,050,000 ($1,811,638).
In May 2013, the player captured the amount of €1,224,000 ($1,604,972) as a first-place prize for topping the EPT Season 9 Grand Final €10,600 Main Event’s field of 531 entries.
In February, he won the WPT National Series Denmark €1,650 No-Limit Hold’em Main Event for €159,227 ($213,796). In September 2011, O’Dwyer almost took down the field of the EPT Season 8/UKIPT Season 2 London £ 5,250 No-Limit Hold’em Main Event, but had to content himself with the runner-up finish and the amount of £465,000 ($726,790).
