On September 4, the Great Canadian Gaming Corporation stated in a media announcement that it is about to exercise its right to renew its license to operate its Fraser Downs Racetrack and Casino.
The license is given by the British Columbia Lottery Corporation and called the COSA – Casino Operational Services Agreement. The racetrack and casino is located in the city of Surrey in British Columbia, an extension of the contract is for an additional ten years, up to 2024.
With that ensured, the company is preparing a market research, which means a reconstruction and refurbishment of the casino and racetrack properties in 2015.
The CEO and President of the Great Canadian, Mr. Baker, expressed his gratitude to the BCLC by saying: “We wish to thank BCLC for their continued confidence in Great Canadian as the operator for Fraser Downs Racetrack and Casino in Surrey, British Columbia”.
He further stated that the company is pleased to renew its contract for another ten years, and because of this improve the facilities of the Fraser Downs Racetrack and Casino according to the needs of the market in order to keep loyal customers and attract new ones.
The Great Canadian Gaming Corporation has been managing the facility since 2005. The casino and racetrack include casino games such as Roulette, Blackjack, Three Card Poker and Texas Shoot. There are more than 400 machines which feature games such as Touch Bet Roulette and Electronic Blackjack, a Longshots Show Lounge with state-of-the-art audio-visual technology, The Race Book simulcast area.
All the slot machines do not require coins and use the technology TITO – ticket in, ticket out. All fans of slot machines can sign up, get an Encore Rewards card and earn points while playing. When enough points are obtained, they can be used for free play.
