GalaBingo, one of Britain’s most popular online Bingo operators, seems to be keen on setting world records while helping people in need. It turns out that the company is in preparation for its new accomplishment.
It is also interesting to note that the company will allow its players to take part in its endeavor during the annual Christmas party.
The company has decided to raise money for an extremely noble cause, working together with the Royal Voluntary Service, a well-known organization that is focused on helping elderly people and their families.
Volunteers from RVS will spend Christmas paying visits to many lonely older people around the country, ensuring that they will have a festive meal and a companion to spend the holiday with. And they will be more than glad to do this without being paid a cent.
GalaBingo intends to donate part of its players’ game money, won during a special promotional campaign, to RVS. They will also be given the opportunity to become VIP guests of a Christmas party that is to be held in London by winning one of the 10 pairs of VIP invitations.
In the course of that same party, the Bingo operator will try to set a new world record for the largest bingo card ever used.
This is not the company’s first partnership with a voluntary organization. Earlier this year GalaBingo.com announced its collaboration with Male Cancer Awareness Campaign and raised more than £10,000, in order to support their cause. The event took place on the set of the famous British soap opera Coronation Street. Then the Bingo operator set a Guinness World Record™ for the biggest set of bingo balls.
Qualifications started yesterday, November 1st, and will continue up to November 21st. The winners in the games will take part in any of the three Grand Final Friday games. and they will compete for one of ten pairs of VIP tickets for the afore-mentioned Christmas party.
James Jordan, known for his participation in Celebrity Big Brother and Strictly Come Dancing, will be among the attending stars. He shared that he was extremely excited about taking part in such a noble campaign. “We should all get behind the campaign,” he said “and do what we can for a really worthwhile charity.”
Alison Digges, currently a Director of Gaming at Gala Interactive, stated that she was particularly keen on their campaign, especially considering the fact that it was to take place in the weeks before Christmas. She also pointed out that the company aimed at raising consciousness about the fact that many elderly people are often left on their own and, therefore, sometimes they need a companion to exchange a few words with.
Royal Voluntary Service Manager Kate Rooks commented on their partnership with GalaBingo.com as a means to raise not only awareness of the state of older people, but also some money that will help their volunteers make a change this Christmas.
