Paddy Power Announces Key Partnerships in Spain and Canada

Irish gambling operator Paddy Power announced earlier today that it had renewed its contract with the British Columbia Lottery Corporation and had reached an agreement with Spanish betting operator Reta.

Under its renewed partnership with the British Columbia Lottery Corporation, Paddy Power would offer its fixed-odds sports betting services within the Canadian province’s borders. The Irish gambling company has been providing its B2B operations in British Columbia since 2012.

Cian Murphy, Paddy Power’s Head of B2B services, noted that they are really happy with the opportunity to continue their partnership with the British Columbia Lottery Corporation. The executive also pointed out that being one of the most advanced in the world, Paddy Power’s sports betting product has contributed significantly to the corporation’s market growth over the past three years.

Commenting on the renewed partnership, Monica Bohm, Vice President of the British Columbia Lottery Corporation’s online gaming operations, said that Paddy Power has helped their brand PlayNow.com turn its sportsbook product offering into competitive one that offers gambling customers the best possible experience.

The Irish gambling operator also announced that it had joined the World Lottery Association as an associate member. Mr. Murphy commented that they consider it great honor to join the organization and being accepted as an associate member is indicative of Paddy Power’s dedication to constantly expanding its business by the provision of comprehensive betting services to the global lottery industry.

The gaming company made yet another important announcement earlier today. It said that it had inked a partnership agreement with Spanish betting operator Reta. Paddy Power will supply its sports betting services to the Spanish company.

Commenting on this new partnership, Mr. Murphy pointed out that they consider it extremely exciting to be given the chance to work with such a fast growing business. He also noted that Spanish gambling customers will most definitely benefit from the events and market offerings Paddy Power can provide them with.

RETA Group CEO Xabier Rodriguez-Maribona said that the agreement with Paddy Power is their next step to maintaining their leadership in the Spanish retail channel and would put their constantly growing online products and services in the top positions.

The renewed contract with British Columbia and the new partnership with Reta followed the extension of Paddy Power’s existing partnerships with French sports betting operator PMU and Slovakia-based one Niké.
