New Zealand Casinos with POLi

by CASINO NEWS daily

POLi is a bank-payment service available in New Zealand. Whether it can be used with a particular casino depends on the operator, your bank and the current payment arrangements. A POLi logo alone does not confirm legal eligibility, current acceptance or withdrawal support.

New Zealand’s changing casino framework

As checked on 28 September 2026, the Department of Internal Affairs guidance for players says the Online Casino Gambling Act is in force. Operators serving New Zealand before 1 May 2026 may continue until 1 December 2026 under the transitional arrangements, but must not advertise to New Zealanders.

From 1 December 2026, only successful auction participants entitled to apply for a licence may continue under an exemption while applications are assessed. DIA expects licences to begin being issued from early 2027. Check its current guidance before using a service; an existing offshore licence is not proof of a New Zealand licence.

Availability and bank support

Use POLi’s current supported-bank information and check your bank’s own conditions. Compatibility with a payment service should not be confused with a bank endorsing a casino.

POLi closed in Australia on 30 September 2023; OrbitRemit’s closure notice distinguishes that closure from continuing New Zealand operations. Australian bank lists and instructions are therefore not a reliable guide to the New Zealand service.

How a payment works

Where the merchant and your bank support the service, check the amount, recipient and reference before authorising a payment. Follow the current bank-specific process. POLi’s ASB open-banking information describes an app or bank-website authentication route; this should not be assumed to describe every supported bank.

Our POLi guide explains the payment category. Do not enter banking credentials into a page merely because it resembles your bank. Check the address and your bank’s guidance, and do not share passwords or authentication codes with casino support staff.

Withdrawals, fees and timing

Deposit acceptance does not establish that POLi can receive a casino payout. Before paying, ask the operator which withdrawal method is available to your account, what verification it requires and whether the receiving bank account must be in your name.

Check the merchant’s and bank’s fees, limits and currency conversion conditions. A payment notification is different from final settlement or a withdrawal approval. Avoid assuming that every deposit is instant or that a payout will arrive within a fixed number of days.

Choosing an operator and protecting your account

Check current eligibility and payment terms directly rather than relying on an old list of casinos, bonuses or minimum deposits. A payment product does not guarantee a profitable session, protect against every fraud or establish that an operator will honour withdrawals.

Keep transaction records, use strong account security and set a budget you can afford to lose. Read any bonus terms before opting in. If payment details change unexpectedly or you are asked to send more money to release a withdrawal, stop and verify the request through official channels.
