Professional poker players and multiple WSOP gold bracelet winners Vanessa Selbst and Phil Hellmuth will be answering questions on Reddit’s Ask Me Anything channel on Thursday, September 17.
Generally speaking, Ask Me Anything has been referred to as a subreddit of the popular news and entertainment website. The said subreddit gives users the opportunity to post their questions to some of the world’s most popular individuals, including politicians, athletes, movie stars, musicians, and other public figures. And as it seems, poker pros are also most welcome to answer users’ questions and provide them with precious pieces of advice about the game.
Selbst will do her Reddit AMA today at 2 pm EST. Here it is important to note that the poker pro, which is currently the world’s most profitable female player with tournament winnings of more than $10 million, has previously participated in the interview-like activity offered by Reddit a few years ago.
This time, Selbst will reveal a bit more information about the upcoming “Blinds & Justice” Charity Event, which is to take place on September 29 and she herself will be hosting it. In fact, she has also organized it. The special poker event will aim at benefiting New York City’s Urban Justice Center, a non-profit organization providing the city’s poverty-stricken residents and members of minority groups with legal services.
Being a New York City resident herself and a law graduate, Selbst has often pointed out that she holds that particular organization dear. The player revealed earlier this year that a special guest who will be attending her charity event will be fellow poker pro Daniel Negreanu.
Selbst has promised that she would answer user’s questions and will give important tips and tricks that would help everyone from a beginner to an advanced poker player prepare for the “Blinds and Justice” tournament.
As for fourteen-time WSOP gold bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth, he will be doing his AMA today at 8 pm PST. Hellmuth’s participation comes as part of Poker Central’s celebration activities for its October 1 debut. Once launched, Poker Central will be the only 24/7 poker-oriented TV channel in the world.
Prior to its official debut, it organized several poker tournaments, with the $500,000 Super High Roller Bowl, which took place on July 2-4 at Aria Las Vegas, being the most notable one.
