Scientific Games Launches Mobile Apps for Arkansas and Maryland Lotteries

Internationally recognized provider of lottery and other gaming solutions Scientific Games Corp. announced on Monday the official launch of mobile apps for Maryland Lottery and Gaming and the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery.

The apps are available for both Android and iOS mobile devices and players may download them from Google Play and the App Store for free. They offer an option for ticket scanning as well as quick access to the current jackpots, winning numbers, and other important lottery-related information.

Here it is important to note that Scientific Games provides one in four US lotteries with its official mobile apps as well as a number of other lottery apps. Currently, the company offers 11 different apps that are used by lotteries in New Mexico, Connecticut, Iowa, Maryland, Arkansas, etc. Scientific Games has previously pointed out that it is developing additional software that is to be released in other states next year.

In addition, the company is also to launch an updated version of the Tennessee Lottery mobile app. The new one would feature a ticket-scanning option and an opportunity for in-store shopping.

Commenting on the lottery mobile app, Bishop Woosley, Director of the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery, said that they are pleased with its release and that providing people with important lottery information as well as the chance to scan their tickets and enter additional drawings “was high on their list.” The Arkansas Lottery was the first one to launch a fully integrated loyalty program.

Maryland Lottery and Gaming Director Gordon Medenica said that contemporary lottery players are constantly busy people who want easy and quick access to the information they need. And the Scientific Games app offers them that particular type of convenience. Mr. Medenica further noted that the Maryland lottery players would most definitely welcome the new software, which will give them the chance to scan tickets and would provide them with a number of other exciting options.

Commenting on Scientific Games’ mobile apps, Michael Lightman, Interactive Lottery Products Vice President, said that the release of the new software in Arkansas and Maryland is yet another proof of the company’s leadership in the provision of interactive gaming solutions for the lottery industry. The executive also pointed out that their mobile products offer lottery players easier access to important information, simplified retail purchasing, and more ways to win.
