Last night, yet another player grabbed a gold ring for besting the field of a 2015/16 WSOP Circuit event. The event itself was a $365 Pot-Limit Omaha one and took place at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas. James Juvancic from Westchester, Illinois emerged victorious last night to collect the top prize of $10,801 and his second-ever gold ring.
The two-day $365 Pot-Limit Omaha attracted 120 hopefuls and a prize pool of $36,000 was generated. The top 12 finishers received a share of the prize pool, with a minimum cash worth $752. Day 1 of the event was completed with ten remaining players. Each of the survivors were guaranteed a minimum payout of $752. Day 2, the event’s final one, started with Neil Scott as the chip leader. The player had a total of 200,000 in chips.
Juvancic was 2nd in chips at the beginning of the day. Gradually, he took the lead and was eventually the last one standing. Juvancic faced Andrew Kelsall from Tampa, Florida heads-up. As it could be seen, Kelsall was out of luck last night and had to content himself with the runner-up finish and a payout of $6,675.
James Hebert from Saint Charles, Illinois finished 3rd last night to collect the amount of $4,753, his first-ever WSOP-related cash. Neil Scott from Mammoth Lakes, California took 4th place for $3,452. David Schultz from Mount Juliet, Tennessee received $2,557 for finishing 5th in the event.
One-time gold ring winner Paul Mattioda finished 6th last night to scoop a payout of $1,931. The player captured his gold piece for winning a $365 No-Limit Hold’em event at Horseshoe Tunica in January.
Z Stein from Washington, DC took 7th place in the $365 Pot-Limit Omaha event last night. His share of the prize pool amounted to $1,485. James Hutton from Friendswood, Texas finished 8th for $1,163. William Leffingwell from Tyler, Texas received $927 for taking 9th place.
D.J. Buckley from Eden Prairie, Minnesota finished 10th for $752. Henry Martinez from Greenfield, California and George Hamati from Canton, Michigan took 11th and 12th places, respectively, for payouts of $752.
Including last night’s victory, Juvancic’s total live tournament earnings now amount to a little more than $200,000. As mentioned above, this was the player’s second gold ring. He won his first piece a month ago for topping the field of a $580 H.O.R.S.E. event at Horseshoe Hammond.
