Poker pro Barry Hutter maintained his 25th place in the GPI leaderboard, after its traditional weekly update. The player has collected a total of 3,334.32 points over the past eleven and a half months. It could be said that 2015 was the his most successful year since the beginning of his poker career. He has collected more than $1.2 million since January and captured his first-ever WSOP gold bracelet back in June.
Hutter has cashed in 20 different events over the past eleven months. Most recently, he topped the field of the $25,000 Aria High Roller XVI, collecting $214,078 for his triumph. Just a day earlier, the player almost won the $25,000 Aria High Roller XV. However, he could not hold up against heads-up opponent Sean Winter and had to content with the runner-up finish and a payout of $204,048.
In September, Hutter finished 5th in the 2015 The River Poker Series $2,500 Main Event. He received the amount of $108,161 for his efforts. A month earlier, the player scooped $141,900 of the prize pool of the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open $25,400 High Roller for finishing 5th in the event. A fifth-place finish in the $25,000 Aria High Roller X secured him with a payout of $49,200.
As mentioned above, Hutter also captured his first-ever WSOP gold bracelet this summer. Early in June, the player bested the field of the WSOP $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em Shootout to collect the first-place prize of $283,546, his largest live cash so far, and the gold piece. Hutter cashed in four other WSOP events this summer, scooping more than $350,000 from this year’s edition of the Series.
Overall, the player has accumulated a total of $2,537,715 in live tournament earnings and is 249th in the United States all-time money list. Hutter has cashed in as many as 81 different events since the beginning of his poker career. He had his first in-the-money finish in 2010, when he took 10th place in a Foxwoods Poker Classic No-Limit Hold’em event for $2,976.
Apart from his 25th place in the GPI leaderboard, the player is also currently ranking 12th in the GPI Player of the Year one. He has collected 3,681.94 points over the past eleven and a half months.
