During Day 4 of the EPT Prague Main Event, the Irishman Marc MacDonnell topped up the leaderboard and captured a total of 3.6 million in chips. Gleb Tremzin became the runner-up holding 3.535 million in chips. Benjamin Lamprecht occupied the third position with 3.19 million. Day 4 of the competition started with 69 players and by the end of the day, 46 were sent home.

During the first level as many as 19 players were eliminated, including Clyde Tjauw Foe, Ivan Demidov and Ben Dobson. The list of poker pros was further thinned by the elimination of Jeffrey Hakim and Joao Vieira who were considered tough opponents capable of climbing the leaderboard.

David Boyaciyan’s performance was somehow disappointing as well. He came into Day 4 with a short stack. Although he was willing to make it to the third final table, he was knocked out in 57th place and captured the amount of €13,720 after Kitty Kuo’s eights defeated his pocket tens.

However, the winning hand was not the start of a lucky streak for Kuo and she took the 47th position. Ramin Hajiyev was knocked out in 45th place followed by Anton Astapau, ranked at 43rd place.

Another player who did not manage to make it to EPT Day 5 was Niall Farrell, the latest EPT Malta winner who captured €534,330, but during Day 4 of EPT Prague Main Event, he crashed down in 40th place and got €16,200 of the generated prize pool.

Day 4 was not a lucky one for Andrew Chen, the player who has previously won EPT and became a runner-up in the WSOP. He sat on a short stack for quite some time and got eliminated by Lukasz Mroczek.

Ori Miller and Lamprecht played out the biggest pot of the day. Miller’s pocket aces ensured him a pot worth 2.7 million, but the queen that came on the flop made Lamprecht the chip leader at the time.

Soon after Robert Layne III was eliminated by Tremzin who kept his runner-up position until the end of Day 4. As for the leader MacDonnell, his performance was defined as fantastic. Despite the battles with so many players, he did not give up, which provided him with a chance to capture the first-place prize in EPT amounting to €921,540.

The last EPT main event for 2015 is scheduled to kick off on Dec. 15 and it will determine the final six players who will have the chance to conquer the first place.
