However, it looks like Amaya Gaming has successfully accomplished its “mission” of making players who have been using PokerStars’ services search for another poker room where they can take part in gambling activities. Some players, who believed that they can still bring everything to its normal condition, organized a number of protests with the aim of showing the management that their decisions are unwise and unprofitable but unfortunately their efforts were insufficient.
Yet, managers announced that they are currently consideringchanges, which, most probably, will not be well perceived by PokerStars’ fans. Pretty soon, they might be prohibited from using seating scripts. Firstly, their usage will be limited and eventually completely banned from the tables.
A representative of the management gave a short interview and said that banning the seating scripts is an action, taken towards setting a limit for each player, regarding the number of times they can reserve a seat without being charged for that. Company’s representative also added that this is not the most brilliant solution but it would definitely bring some relief from the complicated issues Amaya Gaming is facing up to every day.
He also added that the main reason for such a decision to be taken was preventing the so called “locking out” of the tables and avoiding their occupancy by players who just reserve a seat without intending to play.
Despite claiming that they are open for suggestions and discussions, PokerStars’ managers don’t seem to be too attentive to players’ requests. They have already started their battle against the free seating scripts and those who have been participating in various tournaments and are quite familiar with the situation are pretty sure that the outcome will not be favorable to the platform’s well being at all.
Currently, Amaya’s managers are thinking about allowing up to three reservations for every six hours. However, reservations that reach the top of the waiting list but the six -hour period ends, will not be considered.
When asked about their standpoint, a great number of poker pros disapproved of PokerStars’ actions and said that they achieve anything but attracting new players and ensuring the growth of the platform.
Luca Moschitta, a prominent poker player, said that such kind of “updates” is neither recommended nor beneficial to the company and although there is a world difference between playing live and online poker, managers have to do their best to make them as similar to one another as possible.
Alex Scott, a representative of Microgaming, believe that things are more complicated than they should be but nevertheless, Microgaming Poker Network managers are also willing to impose new rules that limit the number of seating scripts.
