This year’s edition of the Turbo Championship of Online Poker $700 Main Event has just been completed with Swiss Dinesh ‘NastyMinder’ Alt taking down its massive field and collecting a first-place prize of $396,691, the biggest-ever featured at this particular online tournament.

As mentioned above, the event attracted a huge field of 4,077 players who created a prize pool of $2,711,205, well above the initially announced guaranteed one of $2,000,000. The whole tournament took a little more than five and a half hours for a winner to be determined. Eventually, Alt had to face Oscar “KungKroon” Kroon from Norway in a final heads-up match.

At a certain point, the two opponents agreed on a two-way deal. They chopped the pot and the additional amount of $40,000 was left for the winner. And the event actually came to a close shortly after the deal was struck. On what turned out to be the last hand in play, the two players went all in, with Alt tabling [Ah][Jh] against Kroon’s [Qs][5s] and the board running out [Kd][2d][4s][8d][6h]. Although he is a bit more experienced and profitable in the online poker circuit, it was not the Norwegian’s day and he had to settle for the runner-up finish. His payout from the tournament amounted to $346,181.

It could be said that both Alt and Kroon are well-known names online and on the live circuit. Including his latest victory, this year’s TCOOP champion now has more than $1.3 million in online tournament winnings. In addition, he has won a little more than $400,000 in various live tournaments. As for Kroon, he now has more than $3.8 million in online and $200,000 in live tournament earnings.

The official nine-handed final table was represented by players from seven different countries. And here are the finalists themselves and their respective payouts:
