The 10th annual London Affiliate Conference kicked off yesterday with a pre-registration party at Hilton London Olympia Hotel. This year, for the very first time, Casino News Daily will be part of what would be the biggest iGaming affiliate event of 2016, bringing you some highlights during its course.
Although there were no conference and exhibition activities yesterday at Olympia National, London, the event’s official venue, delegates still had the chance to meet each other at the special pre-registration party and the iGB Affiliate Awards 2016, of course. Typically, the ceremony takes place during the LAC and this year was not an exclusion. The underlying theme of the show was momentum and how an affiliate could maintain and grow it.
And what a show it was! The ceremony was held at Electric Brixton and organizers had done their best to create an unforgettable experience for everyone attending. The show was free to attend for LAC delegates, and attendees were literally brought into a fairy tale, or rather several fairy tales, as the Little Red Riding Hood was seen running from a pack of mischievous she-wolves, Snow White was strolling around with her poisoned apple, and Prince Charming was apparently looking for his princess.
The awards show itself lasted for a little more than an hour and a total of 25 awards were given. This year, a special new category was introduced – Best Innovation, and that particular award went to Video Slots and its Battle of Slots, a feature that allows players to take part in real-time video slots battles against other players.
Generally speaking, the winners were determined by a specially appointed judging panel. Judges had to pick one nominee for each of the categories. And nominations were determined by a board that had the difficult task to shortlist up to 7 nominees per category.
It could be said that LeoVegas was in a way the big winner last night as it scooped not one but two awards – Best Casino Affiliate Manager and Best Casino Affiliate Program. And here are the rest of the winners of the 2016 edition of the iGB Affiliate Awards and their respective categories:
