‘Too Many Legalities’ Deter Online Gambling in the US with Myron Saacks from Fast Track Affiliates

Events & Reports

Myron (Miles) Saacks is an affiliate manager at Fast Track Affiliates. He has been in the iGaming affiliate business for quite some time now and has been a frequent attendee of the London Affiliate Conference. Miles spent a few minutes of his time with CasinoNewsDaily to talk about his experience as an Affiliate Manager, the brands he has been working with, as well as about the future of the online gambling industry in the United States and in the world as a whole.

Here is the second of our series of interviews we took with industry personalities at the LAC 2016.

Could you, please, first introduce yourself?

My name is Myron (Miles) Saacks. I am currently an affiliate manager at Fast Track Affiliates. I have been in the industry for 12 years.

And how long have you been with Fast Track Affiliates?

For a year, I joined the company in January 2015.

Could you tell us a little more about your company? What brands are you currently working with? Where do those operate?

So, we currently have three brands – Raging Bull RTG, Grand Fortune RTG, and Malibu Club Casino RIVAL. Raging Bull is our flagship one. We operate in Australia, Europe, and the United States.

In what ways are your brands different from all the other out there? And how do you treat your customers in order to make them come back to your sites?

There is so much competition out there that you have to make sure every player is treated like a VIP. So, from the very first email, or chat, or call our customers receive, they should be treated as if they are VIPs, as you don’t know the value of those players until they have played with you and made a few purchases. Perhaps there is a whale and he or she has only purchased a small amount to test your casino and if you treat them badly, you may never see them again.

We differentiate ourselves by our quick cash-ins, great promotions, and the fact we have a great call centre. As far as our product goes, we are continually striving to make use of the most up-to-date technology to give players great playing experience. Our Instant Play version is fantastic and we are the only RTG Casino to offer AUD as a currency.

Was it your first time at the LAC?

No, I have been there maybe 5 or 6 times.

How do you think events like this one help your business?

It’s great to always put a face to a person you deal with every day, even if you don’t do so much new business at these conferences. It’s nice to meet the people you’re talking to so they can see you’re a genuinely nice guy.

It’s very difficult to do new business there, if you don’t have a huge budget to do stands and exhibit, so we get most of our value from meeting with our existing clients and just building better relationships.

You’ve said you operate in the US. Do you think that online gambling will be legalized nationwide anytime soon?

No, I don’t think that it will be a nationwide thing anytime soon. I believe that there are too many legalities holding it back. The US government should realize that there is so much money to be made, if they regulate the market, but there is too much resistance from Indian tribes, which are scared that they will lose a lot of revenue as well as from mainstream casino owners who don’t want to share a piece of the pie. And they have a large say in the political environment because of the large sums of money they contribute.

And one final question. Where do you see the global online gambling industry in five years from now?

It’s only going to go from strength to strength, the way the world is going. People want things fast, smooth and online casinos offer this. I do feel there will be more and more countries that will go the route of making it legal and regulated, thus making it tougher for operators. But this will weed out the poor, unethical ones.
