Kara Scott Joins 888poker Ambassadors Team

Poker presenter and player Kara Scott has been signed as the newest ambassador for online poker room 888poker. Scott is joining 2015 WSOP Main Event Champion Joe McKeehen, 2012 WSOP Main Event runner-up Jesse Sylvia, 2014 WSOP National Championship winner Dominik Nitsche, and many more to promote the popular online poker brand.

Commenting on her joining 888poker’s ambassadors team, the poker personality said that she has long been impressed with the brand’s continued focus on providing players with great experience and that she looks forward to “a bright and successful future” with the poker room. Scott also added that she adores both the recreational and the more serious sides of the game of poker.

She further pointed out that joining 888poker as the online poker room’s ambassador is “a fantastic milestone” for her career and that she feels honored with the chance to represent a major player in the industry.

Scott is best known as a poker presenter for various TV networks, with Sky Television, Game Show Network, ESPN being among those. Here it is also important that she has covered some of the world’s biggest and most popular poker tournaments, with the European Poker Tour and the World Series of Poker being only few of those.

Scott has been nominated for Poker Presenter of the Year at this year’s edition of the American Poker Awards. She is also to host the ceremony, which is set to take place on February 25 at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills. Earlier that day, she will serve as official draft commissioner for the first-ever Global Poker League, alongside Phil Hellmuth and Daniel Negreanu.

As for her poker career, Scott prefers to call herself a poker enthusiast. Currently, her live tournament earnings amount to $643,880. In 2009, she finished 2nd in the Paddy Power Irish Poker Open €3,500 Main Event to collect her best live cash of €312,600. Over the past several years, she has also cashed in a number of WSOP, WPT, and other prestigious tournaments.

In order to celebrate Scott’s joining its ambassadors team, 888poker announced that she will be featured in a $3,000 Welcome Kara Scott Free Tournament, which is to kick off on February 29.
