Yet another WSOP Circuit gold ring found its owner at Bally’s in Las Vegas. Last night, local player Jeffrey Dobrin topped the field of the 2015/16 WSOP Circuit Bally’s Event #4 to capture a second career gold piece. The player was also paid the amount of $19,110 for winning the $365 No-Limit Hold’em event.

The tournament kicked off on February 29 and it took two days of play for a winner to be determined. It drew a field of 260 players who created a prize pool of $78,000. The top 27 places were paid, with the lowest cash amounting to $630. The nine-handed final table was reached late on Monday and the remaining nine players continued playing until there were only eight of them left.

The survivors returned on Tuesday to play down to a winner. Eight-handed action kicked off with seven-time gold ring winner Ari Engel holding most of the chips. The player had a total of 642,000 in chips. Dobrin was among the short stacks at the start of Day 2 of the tournament.

Four players were eliminated within the first two hours of play. And the four survivors were quite a company, with all of them being WSOP Circuit regulars. Apart from Dobrin, who as mentioned above has previously won one gold ring, there were two multiple gold ring winners at the table – Ari Engel, who has captured seven gold pieces so far, and Cory Waaland, who boasts six WSOP Circuit victories. William Brock, who has cashed in 21 Circuit events prior to last night, rounded out the party.

Eventually, it was Waaland whom Dobrin had to face heads-up. Waaland had the chance to win his seventh gold ring and thus tie with Engel on the all-time list. However, odds were in his opponent’s favor last night and he had to content himself with a second-place finish and the amount of $11,808 of the prize pool.

Ari Engel from Las Vegas finished 3rd in the tournament for $8,531. William Brock from Pelham, Alabama took 4th place to collect $6,278. Jesus Cantu finished 5th, good for $4,703.

Fauszt Jozsef from Hungary scooped $3,584 of the entire prize pool for finishing 6th. Jorge Stella took 7th place for a payout of $2,777. Michael Lavas from Fort Worth, Texas received $2,186 for his 8th place. James Iglinsky from Sugar Land, Texas rounded out the final table to take home a payout of $1,749.
