Following the completion of the deal, Mediatech Solutions is to supply the gaming group’s Fair Play chain of land-based gambling venues with a new online casino through its IRIS gaming platform. The Janshen-Hahnraths Group currently operates 42 such venues under the Fair Play brand, located across the Netherlands. The operator is to launch its Fair Play Online gaming website this summer. The online casino has received a license and will be regulated by the Malta Gaming Authority.
The agreement between the two gaming companies allows for Fair Play Online to take advantage of a rich suite of real-money gaming titles, including slots games developed by Microgaming.
Commenting on their latest agreement, Jessica Ordovas, Founder and CEO of Mediatech Solutions said in a statement from earlier today that given Fair Play’s “extensive land-based heritage” across the Netherlands, the brand has every chance to achieve the same success and gain the same popularity online. According to Ms. Ordovas, the brand will be able to do so by leveraging Mediatech Solutions’ product offering to provide its online gambling customers with world-class gaming experience.
The executive further added that with the newly introduced gaming regulations, the Netherlands is to become an important part in her company’s expansion strategy. Ms. Ordovas revealed that Mediatech Solutions has been investing heavily in the Dutch online gambling market and that they believe that its efforts will bring about numerous benefits once the final version of the country’s new legislation is completed and published.
Last month, it was announced that supplier of solutions for the land-based gaming industry R. Franco Group had purchased a majority stake in Mediatech Solutions. Thus, two major players in Spain’s online and land-based gambling markets, respectively, joined forces to provide gambling operators from around the world with a comprehensive selection of gaming options.
Under the terms of the agreement, R. Franco integrated Mediatech Solutions’ IRIS gaming platform and all 1,500 games it powers. In addition, the two companies agreed Mediatech Solutions’ management to remain in place at its Madrid headquarters.
