Lottomatica currently operates more than 1,000 betting shops across Italy. The gaming operator will also be allowed access to what is known as Vermantia Connect, the company’s robust gaming platform that offers effortless integration between gaming companies and service or content providers. The technology also provides a comprehensive portfolio of live sports, virtual games, and other related gaming content.
The deal comes with an immediate roll-out of three gaming channels for Lottomatica and its retail network. In the first place, the operator’s shops across the country will now feature a Live Sports Channel that combines over 6,000 different live sports events per year. Real-time statistics for those will be provided in partnership with global sports media company Perform Group. The other two channels are Virtual Sports ones. Those are based on Lottomatica’s existing relationship with Inspired Gaming.
Of the new agreement his company has inked, Vermantia CEO Filippos Antonopoulos said that they are absolutely delighted to have Lottomatica as their newest partner and that the gambling operator has selected them to provide it with gaming solutions for its retail network. The executive also pointed out that they are particularly happy to be working with IGT, known to be a leader in the provision of end-to-end gaming solutions.
Mr. Antonopoulos commented that their partnership with Italy’s market leader is indicative enough of the appeal of Vermantia’s gaming content and related solutions as well as the benefits those deliver to the global gambling market.
Lottomatica CEO Ludovico Calvi said that they are looking forward to providing their customers with “engaging and entertaining gaming experience” based on content that is particularly driven by both Virtual and Live Betting. Mr. Calvi further noted that their joint work with Vermantia will not only help his company achieve its goal to expand its live betting business but will also lay the foundations for the introduction of an innovative retail betting concept.
