GVC Holdings Appoints Playtech’s Liron Snir as Chief Product Officer

News

Online gambling company GVC Holdings PLC, known to be operating in both the B2B and B2C markets, announced today that it has appointed Liron Snir as Chief Product Officer, a role that has been established only recently.

Withe experience in the industry of more than 16 years, Mr. Snir has generally been recognized as one of the most prominent technology and product experts within the global online gambling business. He is joining GVC Holdings from Playtech PLC, where he spent 6 years as Vice President of Product and Strategy. Among other things, he was in charge of the company’s customer portfolio and it was his responsibility to support its further growth. Prior to that, Mr. Snir had spent another 6 years at 888 Holdings as the gambling operator’s Business Intelligence Team Leader. He had led the company’s database and platform development.

Taking up his new role, Mr. Snir will have to oversee GVC Holdings’ product management as well as the overall experience the company provides its customers with. The position of Chief Product Officer was created after the gambling operator completed the acquisition of fellow gaming company bwin.party digital entertainment plc on February 1, 2016. GVC Holdings pointed out that the recent appointment is indicative of its ability to draw the best talent in the online gambling industry.

Commenting on Mr. Snir joining the company, GVC Holdings CEO Kenny Alexander said in a statement from earlier today that they are delighted to be welcoming a leading industry professional. The executive further noted that Mr. Snai will prove to be an invaluable asset to their team, given his experience in online gambling, product development and integration, platform assimilation, and other related operations.

According to Mr. Alexander, the newly created post of Chief Product Officer and Mr. Snir’s appointment reflect GVC Holdings’ commitment to providing gambling customers with the best possible products and services. Drawing and retaining the attention of such a talent is also indicative of the merits of the operator’s merger with bwin.party, the executive added.

GVC Holdings is expected to announce more key appointments in the months to come, following the successful integration of its operations, products, and brands with those of bwin.party.
