BetStars Joins British Racing’s Authorised Betting Partner Program

News

BetStars, the recently established sports betting business of Canadian gambling giant Amaya Inc. and its subsidiary PokerStars, announced today that it has joined the Authorised Betting Partner program initiated by the British Horseracing Authority.

BetStars went live in the UK in January. Following its recent agreement with the British Horseracing Authority, the provider of online sports betting options will join Betfair, Sky Betting & Gaming, 32Red, and a number of other major gambling operators as an Authorised Betting Partner of the UK racing industry.

Under the terms of the said agreement, BetStars will voluntarily contribute a share of the revenue generated by its operations to British racing in a bid to join the efforts for sustaining the future of the popular sport. It is believed that the partnership will benefit everyone involved in the British racing industry, including bettors and race-goers. In fact, BetStars has recently added British horse racing markets to the options it provides on its website.

Commenting on the sports betting operator becoming an Authorised Betting Partner, BetStars Director of Trading Ian Marmion said in a statement that he is delighted with that latest partnership. Mr. Marmion further noted that horse racing once drove the birth of UK betting and that it is important that the sport is given the chance to grow and flourish even more.

The official added that there are proud to become an authorised partner of one of the world’s most exciting and popular sports and to make their contribution to its growth.

Nick Rust, Chief Executive Officer of the British Horseracing Authority, commented that they, too, are delighted to welcome BetStars as British racing’s newest partner. According to Mr. Rust, the partnership is an indication of the fact that BetStars is informed about the importance of British racing to gambling operators in both drawing and retaining more high-value bettors.

Being a representative for a renowned brand and having horse racing among its betting options, the executive added that they are looking forward to working together with the betting operator to deliver all benefits of being an Authorised Betting Partner, including having its name on racecourses around the UK.
