
Including last night’s triumph, DiCarlo now has a little more than $200,000 in Circuit tournament winnings. What is more, the player has had certain success in WSOP events, as well. During the 2013 edition of the world’s most prestigious poker series, the Las Vegas resident finished 3rd in the $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em event to collect the amount of $184,914. His overall WSOP earnings currently amount to $266,240.
Event #9 was a $580 No-Limit Hold’em tournament with a guaranteed prize pool of $100,000. As many as 363 players entered it and the overall prize pool eventually totaled $181,500. The top 45 finishers got paid, with the lowest payout totaling $820.
As most of the WSOP Circuit events, the $580 No-Limit Hold’em, too, was a two-day one. Day 1 of the tournament ended with 15 remaining survivors who returned for Day 2. Each of the 15 hopefuls was guaranteed a payout of $2,508. Zebulon Moss was the one to start the day as the chip leader with a total of 624,000.
At the time the ten-handed final table was set, DiCarlo was holding the chip lead with 1,140,000 and was actually the only player over the one-million mark. It took the player about six hours of play to emerge victorious and capture the first-place prize and the gold ring.
Christopher Churchwell from Norcross, Georgia took 2nd place for $24,675. Three-time gold ring winner Justin Liberto from Fallston, Maryland collected $18,030 for finishing 3rd. Jeremy Antonoff from Roswell, Georgia received $13,387 for taking 4th place. Ezekeil Shelton from Wilmington, North Carolina finished 5th for $10,095.
Nicholas Gee from Lexington, South Carolina took 6th place, good for $7,726. Michael Abrams from Chapel Hill, North Carolina took home $6,000 for finishing 7th. One-time gold ring winner Rex Clinkscales from Las Vegas, Nevada took 8th place for a payout of $4,726. Zebulon Moss from Acworth, Georgia finished 9th for $3,775. Brian Basham from Virginia Beach, Virginia scooped $3,056 for his 10th place.
