The charitable cause of Quintessentially Foundation, however, is intended to help families and children who live not only in London but also in different foreign countries. Their aim is to ensure their decent health condition and well being.
Right before the event, PokerStars’ managers announced that their players were excited about taking part in the event and did their best to raise as much money as possible while having fun with all guests they were honored to meet.
Ben Elliott, Trustees’ chairman, commented that charity and poker go hand in hand. As soon as the event started, he said that while every other company is trying to boost their revenues, the top priority of PokerStars is to make people united, create a unique atmosphere and make everyone feel welcome.
He also added that organizing such a magnificent event required lots of efforts but the final result was worth it. He considered the event, held at Savoy Hotel, to be the best charity poker tournament of all times as it arranged people with a charitable cause and ensured the relaxed atmosphere.
Christophe De Meulder, Leo Margets, Jake Cody, Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier and Fatima Moreira de Melo were among the attendees of the event.
All of them will be enabled to participate in live events and respectively, popularize the collaboration between PokerStars and the charitable organization.
Sue Hammett, a Director of Corporate Giving of the Rational Group said that more and more awareness will be raised and the foundation will become financially stable. Those who participate in the charitable events will go through experience programs in the foreseeable future. In addition, PokerStars players will be provided with various opportunities for making donations.
Meryl Davies also commented that the partnership with the Rational Group will definitely be a beneficial one. She said that players are a key factor for helping children and contributing to their happier childhood by teaching them various things that are usually parents’ responsibility.
Quintessential Foundation will also help another two charitable foundations.
During 2014, the total amount of donations was equal to £4 million. A part of the sum has already been used for education.
According to the initial plan, PokerStars’s managers are likely to introduce several options for making donations sooner than expected. Everyone, who would like to get some more information about the charitable cause, can visit the webpage and acquaint themselves with the details.
