Glenn Straub Introduces the Opening Phases of Former Revel Casino

The owner of the shuttered Revel Casino, Glenn Straub, announced that the former casino would begin to reopen next week and added that gambling activities would be just a small piece of the plethora of activities available to visitors. The hotel facility, comprising of 1600 rooms, is slated to open on June 15th when as many as 900 of the rooms will become available.

Mr. Straub said that these hotel rooms would be predominantly occupied by guests of the company that is to be in charge of the casino operations, but added that tourists and locals were also welcome to check-in. The renovated property is yet to have its website or customer service phone number. As for the casino, Straub remained optimistic it would be open before the middle of August.

The developer refused to name the casino operator and said its name would be revealed as soon as all state approvals are received. Yet, he said that the artwork would be completed by Asian painters.

Representatives of the Division of Gaming Enforcement also confirmed that they are working on Revel casino case, so all licenses and authorizations required are granted as soon as possible.

Glenn Straub bought the property for $82 million from the bankruptcy court although its worth was estimated at $2.4 billion. He has previously put forward various ideas for property’s utilization. He suggested the former Revel casino to become a “genius academy”, a medical tourism faculty or a temporary shelter for Syrian refugees.

After a number of offbeat ideas, Straub laid out a schedule for opening and cast light on the amenities and conveniences the property will provide visitors with.

Along with the 900 room hotel faculty, June 15th will see the opening of an e-sports lounge and zip-line ride. Rope-climbing and bicycle endurance courses will also to be available. In addition, there will be scuba, surfing and windsurfing lessons, a spa room and a day club.

Two weeks later, on July 1st, the nightclub will be reopened along with a comedy club, volleyball court, indoor and outdoor pools and a section of the white sand beach.

In the middle of August visitors will have the chance to engage in horse rides and virtual reality machines. A salon is slated to open, music festivals are also set to start.

As for the dining facilities, the property will host ten restaurants. High rollers flying in and out of Atlantic City will have a heliport at their disposal.

As many as three movie theaters consisting more than 200 seats are scheduled to open before year’s end.
