US-based provider of gaming and lottery products for international gambling organizations Scientific Games Corporation announced on Tuesday that it would provide the North Carolina Education Lottery with its Cooperative Services Program, known to be a leading solution for instant game management.

Scientific Games has signed an eight-year contract with the lottery organization, under the terms of which it would supply the above-mentioned product. The said agreement would include design of instant games, manufacturing and security, storage and distribution, and a number of other related services.

Being driven by certain patented technologies, with the MAP, SciTrak Ultra, OrderCast, and OrderSorter being among those, the Cooperative Services Program would help the North Carolina Education Lottery manage instant game products in an effective manner. The eight-year contract may be extended for two more years.

Commenting on the extended partnership, North Carolina Education Lottery Executive Director Alice Garland said that Scientific Games has established itself as an important instant game partner to the lottery organization. Ms. Garland further noted that the benefits that may arise from the Cooperative Services Program contract would make it possible for the North Carolina lottery to optimize both retailer and player experience and for state educational programs to be the ultimate winners.

According to the latest figures reported, instant games account for two-thirds of the North Carolina Education Lottery’s overall annual revenue.

John Schulz, Scientific Games Senior Vice President, Global Instant Products, added that they are aiming to advance secure technologies in their Cooperative Services Program and to implement these technologies to help their lottery partners, the North Carolina Education Lottery included, achieve continued growth track record in instant game sales.

As pointed in La Fleur’s 2016 World Lottery Almanac, Scientific Games currently produces instant game products for 23 of the Top 25 instant game lotteries in the world. And six of the Top 10 ones have utilized the company’s Cooperative Services Program.

Globally, Scientific Games provides more than 150 international lotteries with various instant games and related solutions. The company created and launched the first such game in 1974. As for the Cooperative Services Program itself, it came into being more than three decades ago.
