Philippine casino developer and operator Bloomberry Resorts Corporation announced that Phase 1 of the expansion of Solaire Resort and Casino has been completed. The refurbished venue opens doors for visitors and guests today, November 22.
The new seventeen-story hotel, called Sky Tower, deserves to be paid special attention due to the numerous accommodation and entertainment options it offers. For instance, it provides a special gaming zone, intended for VIP players only, which is equipped with a total of 66 tables and 223 slot machines. In addition, the building is home to a lyric theater with 1,760 seats, a luxurious Chinese restaurant, a whiskey bar, as well as meeting rooms that are fitted with the latest equipment.
Thomas Arasi, president and COO of Bloomberry, commented on Sky Tower’s launch as indicative of the company’s aspirations to establish Solaire as a desired destination for people from all over the world. He also called their venue a “game-changer” that provides top-class entertainment and accommodation experience to every single of its guests.
The Sky Tower hotel section and the theater are considered to be Solaire’s most attractive new assets. The hotel is to accommodate its guests into large apartments that range between 124 square meters up to the impressive 936 square meters.
As for the theater, it is equipped with all kinds of state-of-the-art technological devices and is supposed to host different types of events, such as plays, musical performances, and even speech and debate events. The venue is connected to a large parking lot that accommodates as much as 3,000 vehicles.
Apart from these two, the expansion of Solaire includes the so-called Forum – a meeting venue with eight special meeting rooms, two boardrooms, and a large ballroom with enough space for up to 1,300 people.
Once Phase 1 of Solaire’s expansion is fully complete, the preparation for Phase 2 will begin. Enrique K. Razon, who is currently holding the majority of Bloomberry’s shares, mentioned before that the second phase was expected to be more expensive than the first one and, what is more, the company would engage in it only in case the “market justifies it.”
Phase 2 will include the construction of three more hotel towers. They are to have a total of 1,500 rooms. In addition, more than 100,000 square meters will be intended for shopping space and dining facilities, as well as a new casino venue, offering 300 tables and 1,300 slot machines to its visitors.
Solaire introduces its expanded areas only 617 after the resort was launched back in March 2013.
Bloomberry announced that it has generated a total net income of P3.29 billion for the first nine months of this year, marking a considerable increase as compared to last year’s numbers.
