Play’n GO to Enter Romania’s Online Casino Market

News

Play’n GO has become the latest provider of online casino solutions to be entering the newly regulated Romanian online gambling market, the company itself announced earlier today. The Swedish supplier of content for the international iGaming industry has been granted a license by the Oficiul National pentru Jocuri de Noroc (ONJN), known to be the country’s gambling regulator.

Following its licensure, Play’n GO will now be able to provide its product offering to gaming companies based and operating in the Eastern European country. The supplier said in a statement from earlier today that it has applied for a Romanian license after registering a growing demand for its products in the local market.

Commenting on the latest announcement, Play’n GO CEO Johan Törnqvist said that they are extremely happy to be granted a Romanian gaming license as its constantly growing market is one the company has been eying for some time now. Mr. Törnqvist further noted that they have a long list of operators interested in their content and that their products will most certainly be found delightful by Romanian gambling customers.

Play’n GO offers its gaming titles to more than 100 gaming operators from around the world. What is more, its games are now available in more than 30 languages.

Earlier this year, the gaming supplier signed a partnership agreement with gambling operator Las Vegas Casino Diamond Ltd, thus entering the newly regulated Hungarian gaming market. Under the terms of the agreement, the Swedish provider is to supply its full catalog of gaming titles to the operator’s Las Vegas Casino, which is to become Hungary’s first licensed online casino.

It is also important to note that Play’n GO is not the only online gambling provider to have been licensed by the Romanian gambling operator. Last Friday, London-based supplier iSoftBet announce that it, too, has been awarded a license for the provision of its gaming title to Romania-facing gambling operators and local gambling customers.

Earlier last week, Microgaming Quickfire-powered provider Prima Networks also received Class II licenses by the local regulatory body for the distribution of gaming software to Romanian and international gambling operators.
