The company held its Annual General Meeting on June 30, 2016 and during it, all resolutions related to the rebranding, which was first announced in September 2015, were recommended by the Board and were voted in favor of by shareholders.
Commenting on the matter, GAN CEO Dermot Smurfit confirmed that the company is now legally called GAN plc and that the rebranding exercise initiated last September has been completed. The rebranding process was started with the launch of the GAN website so as for the company’s identity to be cemented in its core market, namely the US.
Mr. Smurfit further explained that GAN means “to dare” in Mandarin Chinese and that it has been since 2011 that GAN has dared to establish itself as a leading independent B2B supplier of online gaming solutions for land-based casinos across the US for both simulated and inter-state regulated real money gaming.
The executive also pointed out that with its rebranding now officially completed, the company will continue working on building upon its reputation and attracting a larger client base in the US. Thus, the supplier wants to make it possible for local land-based casinos to extend existing relationships with customers by providing them with compelling online gaming experience that has been integrated with on-property rewards programs.
Late last month, GAN announced that it has signed an agreement with a fourth Native American tribe for the provision of the supplier’s Simulated Gaming solution, which has proved to be quite popular among land-based casinos across the US. With the latest contract penned, GAN has increased the number of US-based B2B clients to twelve.
The Simulated Gaming product was introduced back in 2014. It provides an online gaming service, specifically designed for land-based US casinos, across desktop, mobile and Virtual Reality. The solution currently features more than 200 slots and table games.
The identity of GAN’s latest Simulated Gaming client has not been disclosed for regulatory and commercial reasons. However,it was confirmed that this has been the fourth Native American gambling enterprise to opt for the service.
