Omni-channel supplier of online gambling software and related services Playtech announced that it has extended its existing partnership with online poker brand PokerStars by signing a new content distribution agreement.
Playtech will be supplying the online poker room’s online casino section with a selection of its most popular gaming titles, with some of those being Frankie Dettori, White King, and Great Blue, as well as its leading progressive jackpots. The games have already been launched and are now available across desktop and mobile.
Through its licenses from the Isle of Man and Malta gambling regulators, PokerStars operates in a number of countries around the globe. Thus, the brand will introduce the Playtech games to a wider gambling audience.
Gaming content will be rolled out in several phases. Playtech branded slots Gladiator, Top Gun, and the upcoming DC series will be among the titles to be launched with PokerStars later on. Playtech also announced that the Age of Gods series will go live with the world’s biggest online poker room and its casino section, in particular, at some point in future. Three games of the said series were brought to live last month and have turned into an instant success. Given this, they are expected to prove to be quite popular with PokerStars players as well.
Commenting on the latest announcement, PokerStars Director of Casino Sam Hobcraft said that they are really excited to be partnering with Playtech and to make their gaming content available to PokerStars’ gambling customers. Mr. Hobcraft further noted that through the addition of Playtech’s suite of Jackpot games, PokerStars is filling one of the last gaps in its product offering.
Shimon Akad, Chief Operating Officer at Playtech, said that they are delighted to be extending their existing partnership with the online gambling brand as it is among the most well-recognized and established ones within the industry.
Playtech recently announced that it would enhance its gaming development division through the acquisition of Swedish gaming studio Quickspin. The company would pay the total amount of €50 million for its latest purchase, which came as part of its strategy to expand its presence and capabilities over multiple areas within the online gambling industry as well as other related and not-so-related sectors.
