William Hill Secures Two-Year Partnership with Tottenham Hotspur F.C.

Only two days after UK-based gambling operator William Hill announced that it has partnered Everton F.C. for the next two football seasons, the company announced a similar deal with another Premier League club. William Hill has become the Official European and Australian Betting Partner of Tottenham Hotspur F.C.

The two parties will be working together over the 2016/17 and 2017/18 football seasons. Under the agreement’s terms, William Hill will be secured with extended brand visibility across the football club’s rapidly growing digital channels. The William Hill brand will also be seen on pitchside advertising boards across White Hart Lane, known to be Tottenham’s Borough of Haringey-based home venue. On matchdays, the gambling operator will operate in-stadium betting services for the popular London club.

As part of the two-year partnership, William Hill will be seen investing in a particular community project, which is to be delivered by Tottenham Hotspur’s own charity – the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation.

In a statement about the recently signed deal, Fran Jones, Head of Partnerships for the football club, said that they are delighted with the opportunity to work with William Hill, one of the world’s most widely recognized brands within the gambling sector. Mr. Jones further noted that they are looking forward to further developing their relationship by working together on the joint community project ran by the club’s foundation.

William Hill Chief Marketing Officer Alex O’Shaughnessy commented that being among the most popular football clubs, they are delighted to have Tottenham Hotspur as their newest betting partner. The official further dwelt that the William Hill brand will certainly benefit from the club’s profile and that with it being based in Haringey, they will be able to further demonstrate their commitment to the area.

Tottenham Hotspur Foundation CEO Grant Cornwell MBE threw a little more light on the community project the gambling company will support as part of its agreement with the football club, by saying that the foundation itself has already delivered the said pilot project and that it will be additionally developed over the next two years so that to support the Haringey community members.
