Online sports betting brand EnergyBet has become the Official Betting Partner of Aston Villa F.C. for the United Kingdom and Europe, the football club announced on Wednesday.
EnergyBet is a new product to be officially launched soon by online gambling brand EnergyCasino. The online casino has enjoyed quite a rapid growth over the past years and has become particularly popular across Scandinavian and Eastern European online gambling markets. EnergyCasino is headquartered in Malta and is licensed and regulated by the local gambling regulator. It has also been granted a license by the UK Gambling Commission.
Commenting on Aston Villa’s partnership with EnergyBet, Peter Wright, Head of Partnerships at the football club, said that they are delighted to have the sportsbook as their Official Betting Partner for the UK and Europe and that they are looking forward to working with its team, thus supporting the sports betting brand in its endeavor to establish itself in the exciting online gambling industry.
Emilia Rynkowska, EnergyBet UK Country Manager, commented that they are excited to sponsor a football club of Aston Villa’s size. Under the partnership agreement, the football club will provide the new sports betting brand with the opportunity to promote itself and to be part of Aston Villa’s promotional push, Ms. Rynkowska added.
EnergyCasino is set to launch its EnergyBet online sportsbook later in August. Although the sports betting brand’s website has already gone live, it says that the actual sportsbook is still under development but the process is entering its final stages.
With the 2016/17 football season set to kick off, there have been a number of gambling operators, both land-based and online ones, to have recently partnered with major football clubs to secure larger brand visibility and numerous other benefits that such agreements usually bring.
Over the span of several days, major industry player William Hill announced two such partnerships with two Premier League football clubs. The operator first confirmed that it has become the Official European Betting Partner of Everton F.C. A few days later, it also said that it will also be Tottenham Hotspur F.C.’s Official Betting Partner for Europe and Australia. Both deals have been signed for the next two football seasons.
