Maryland Lottery and Gaming posted on Friday the traditional monthly report on the financial performance of the state’s five operational casinos. The gambling venues generated a total of $103.8 million in July, with the number reported reflecting a 5% rise as compared to the money generated in the same month of the previous year.

Revenue at Hollywood Casino Perryville dropped 1.9% last month to the amount of $6.8 million. The casino featured 842 slot machines in July, with those generating daily gross gaming revenue of $217.76 per unit. The gambling venue also offered 12 banked and 10 non-banked table games at its premises. Gross gaming revenue per unit per day totaled $2,667.27 for banked and $289.97 for non-banked table games.

Horseshoe Casino Baltimore posted July revenue of $25 million, up 2.5% year-on-year. The casino had 2,202 slot machines, 154 banked, and 25 non-banked table games offered to patrons. Daily gross gaming revenue per unit amounted to $216.98 for slots, $1,983.79 for banked table games, and $907.52 for non-banked table games.

Maryland Live! Casino, known to be the state’s biggest casino in terms of gambling options offered, generated a total of $60.5 million last month, reflecting a 6.2% increase from what was posted for July 2015. The gambling venue featured 3,916 slot machines last month. Those generated gross gaming revenue per unit per day of $300.91. Players were also offered 154 banked and 52 non-banked table games at the property. Banked table games generated daily gross gaming revenue of $4,535.78 per unit. Gross gaming revenue from non-banked table games amounted to $1,426.14 per unit per day.

Revenue at Casino at Ocean Downs totaled $6.6 million last month, up 2.5% year-on-year. The venue operated 800 slot machines and no table games. Daily gross gaming revenue per slot amounted to $264.13.

Last but not least, Rocky Gap Casino Resort generated a total of $5.1 million in July, up 17% from the same month of the previous year. The casino featured 634 slot machines and 18 banked table games last month. Gross gaming revenue per unit per day totaled $224.07 for slot machines and $1,187.03 for table games.

The five gambling venues are required under state laws to deliver a portion of their revenue to the Maryland Education Trust Fund as well as to small-, women-, and minority-owned businesses, the state’s horse racing industry, and local impact grants.
