The Football Pools Enters into Partnership with COMMOLOGIC’s BetUP

News

Representatives of The Football Pools, a Sportech Plc subsidiary, revealed that its users will soon get the chance to enjoy a second screen live betting option by BetUP, developed by COMMOLOGIC.

The mechanisms, added by BetUP, will enable The Football Pools’ customers to enjoy in-play betting options. New functionalities, as well as new games, are also to be found.

BetUP is to be launched in both desktop and mobile format right before the start of the next Premier League football season. A mobile app is to be rolled out soon after the desktop release.

The new product will cover all games, popular on the territory of the UK as well as some of the major European leagues such as the Champions League.

The Managing Director of the Football Pools, Conleth Byrne, commented on the new partnership and said that the company was always looking for new additions to its already extensive portfolio and the availability of the in-play betting options was an important part of company’s further growth.

The Managing Director of COMMOLOGIC, Tamir Berler, also said that COMMOLOGIC officials regarded the partnership with such a prestigious provider of sports betting solutions as a great opportunity to expand the BetUP network. He also added that BetUP will provide The Football Pools users with in-play betting experience of the best quality.

This has been the second partnership agreement COMMOLOGIC enters into. Earlier this year, the company started working in collaboration with Unibet. The deal between Unibet and COMMOLOGIC has led to an increased number of active users willing to enjoy the in-game options while expanding their knowledge on the matter. The partnership between Unibet and BetUP made the latter available on key markets, including Sweden and the United Kingdom.

Back then, the Unibet Head of Sportsbook, Erik Bäcklund, commented on the partnership and said the joint venture of the two companies has resulted in a great number of positive feedbacks from customers who genuinely enjoyed the second screen options.

He also added that Unibet was constantly evaluating the opportunities for adding new products and providing its users with new exciting options. He said that what made BetUP stand out from the rest was the fact it delivered the desired product mix.

Mr. Berler was quoted as saying that despite being a thriving one, the sports betting industry sees little innovation as far as complementary products were concerned. In this respect, the partnership between Unibet and BetUP ensured high-profit margins, attracted a new audience and provided the users with extended session times and touch points.
