With The Parisian Macao coming closer to its grand opening, gambling operator Sands China held two rallies for workers at Macau’s newest integrated casino resort. The $3-billion hotel and casino resort is slated to open doors on September 13, less than a month after Wynn Resorts cut the ribbon of Wynn Palace, its first Macau property.
More than 6,000 workers that will be working at The Parisian Macao gathered together on Tuesday and Wednesday to celebrate the upcoming opening, get to know each other, and show off their uniforms. Of all 6,000 employees, about 3,700 have been transferred from Sands China’s other Macau-based properties.
The gambling operator said in a statement from today that all workers that are to be employed at the new resort have undergone special training courses so as to be introduced to The Parisian Macao’s offering. As its name suggests, The Parisian Macao has been inspired by the legendary City of Light.
Of the two workers’ rallies held over the past two days, Sands China President Dr. Wilfred Wong said his company would not have been able to provide unique experience to its customers, if it had not been for its team members.
As mentioned above, The Parisian Macao, the latest addition to Sands China’s luxury hotel and casino properties across Macau, will debut on September 13 with 3,000 hotel rooms and suites, a convention and meeting center, multiple food and beverage options, a themed water park, the Shoppes at Parisian shopping mall, and a 1,200-seat theater, among a wide variety of facilities. All amenities at the complex have been designed so as to reminisce of Paris. A half-scale replica of the iconic Eiffel Tower will complement the all-French atmosphere surrounding the property.
As it has become clear earlier this week, The Parisian Macao will be launched with a total of 410 live-dealer gaming tables. Of those, 310 have been relocated from other Sands China properties. The remaining 100 will be new ones, granted by Macau’s government. Sands China said that it has been allowed to add 50 more new tables in two tranches. In other words, 25 new devices will be placed at the casino on January 1, 2017. The remaining 25 will be installed a year later. Of all gaming tables the resort will be opened with, 49 will be intended for VIP gambling customers.
Apart from the gaming tables, the casino will also feature as many as 1,600 slot machines on its mass-market floor.
