Over the partnership’s span, Gaming Realms will develop and launch two new gambling brands – Express Wins and Star Wins, and will take charge of their content’s management once rolled out. The owner of the two online gaming brands – Express Newspapers – will be responsible for their promotion and popularization through its existing, broadly recognized media platform. The three-year agreement also contains a revenue sharing clause.
Commenting on the latest announcement, Gaming Realms CEO Patrick Southon said that it is fantastic for them to ink such a partnership with one of UK’s major newspaper groups. The executive further noted that if their joint work with Express Newspapers proves to be successful, it would unlock valuable revenue sources and additional opportunities for collaboration.
Generally speaking, Gaming Realms is known for developing and publishing innovative mobile content that can be played both for real-money and for fun. The company’s products are mainly distributed to the UK and the US. Gaming Realms’ unique brands and mobile platform are aimed at bringing together various gaming, entertainment, and media assets into game formats never seen before.
The partnership between Gaming Realms and Express Newspapers has not been the first one of this kind within the online gambling industry. Last year, developer of iGaming solutions Nektan and popular UK tabloid The Sun joined forces for the launch of the Sun Play mobile casino. The gaming brand now provides players with both real-money and free-to-play slot titles, various other casino games, bingo, and many more.
The newspaper has also partnered with Australian gambling operator Tabcorp to upgrade its Sun Bets sports betting brand.
In addition to this, Trinity Mirror, best known for being the publisher of the Daily Mirror, has gone live with a bingo website, with the product being powered by none other but industry giant Playtech.
