Merkur Gaming Americas announced the appointment of Alejandro Saraintaris as General Manager of the newly incorporated Merkur Gaming Argentina, S.A., the latest addition to the gambling group’s Latin American portfolio of companies.
Mr. Saraintaris brings with him extensive experience in the Argentine gambling industry. Prior to joining Merkur Gaming Argentina, he had worked as Executive Advisor to Interblock Gaming’s CEO for Latin America and South America. He had also served as Sales & Operations Director at leading gaming solutions manufacturer Aristocrat Leisure. At the newly established Merkur Gaming subsidiary, Mr. Saraintaris will be charged with a project he considers “both a challenge and a huge opportunity.”
The Merkur Gaming Argentina General Manager will be able to acquaint himself with clients and business partners at the upcoming SAGSE Gaming & Amusement trade show. The conference and exhibition event is set to take place on November 15-17 at Centro Costa Salguero in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is generally considered to be among the most important trade shows to be held in and for the Latin American region.
Commenting on his recent appointment, Mr. Saraintaris said that he is really excited to be given the important task to turn Merkur Gaming Argentina into a major player in the local and Latin American gaming market. The official further noted that having the right team at hand and the support of parent company Gauselmann Group, they will certainly succeed in achieving that objective.
Merkur Gaming Americas CEO Charles Hiten pointed out that Mr. Saraintaris is the right person to lead the company’s expansion in Argentina. Mr. Hiten added that the Argentine market is a particularly important one and that there has long been a wide demand for Merkur Gaming products among local operators. The executive said that he believed Mr. Saraintaris will help Merkur Gaming Argentina unlock the many opportunities the Latin American country and its gambling market offers.
Mr. Saraintaris’ first important task as Merkur Gaming Argentina General Manager involves the process of assembling the right team to support the company’s entrance into the local market and its establishment as a leader.
