Ali Fazeli Wins $25,000 Aria High Roller 50

Ali Fazeli seems to have grown quite fond of the $25,000 Aria High Roller tournaments that regularly take place at Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, as the player has cashed in eight such events and has won three of them since the beginning of the year.

Little is known about Fazeli but one thing can be said about him with no hesitation – he certainly knows how to play poker and what is required to make it to the money in a high roller tournament. The player’s latest triumph at Aria came mere days ago. Fazeli faced other Aria regulars, all of them being seasoned high rollers with years of experience and multiple titles, to eventually find himself holding the tournament trophy.

The player added $403,200 to his poker bankroll for his latest victory. Fazeli scooped the first-place prize after defeating Sean Winter heads-up. Winter took home $230,400 for his runner-up finish in the $25,000 buy-in tournament.

The event took place on November 17. As many as 40 entries paid the buy-in fee to take a seat among the world’s top high rollers. A prize pool of $960,000 was generated and split among the top six finishers. Tom Marchese, Jake Schindler, Byron Kaverman, and Erik Seidel were the other four players to get a payout from the event, finishing 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th, respectively. Marchese scooped $134,400; Schindler collected $86,400; Kaverman received $57,600; and Seidel, who is currently ranking 2nd in the all-time money list, added $48,000 to his poker bankroll of $30.1 million in live tournament earnings.

As mentioned above, this has not been Fazeli’s first Aria High Roller victory. The player has come first in two more such tournaments since the beginning of 2016. He won his first Aria event in June, facing heads-up none other but 2015 WSOP Main Event Champion Joe McKeehen. Fazeli’s victory secured him with $288,000 in prize money.

The player emerged victorious in one more Aria High Roller tournament in September. This time he had to cope with Bill Klein in a final heads-up match. As it could be seen, Fazeli did more than well as he left Aria with a check of $292,320 in prize money for his triumph.

Winning three Aria High Rollers and cashing in several more such events over the past year, Fazeli has accumulated almost $2 million in live tournament earnings. His most recent payout of $403,200, the one he took for winning the latest $25,000 buy-in Aria event a few days ago, has become his career biggest.
