Supplier of omni-channel services and products for the international gambling industry Playtech unveiled a special surprise for its licensees and their players. The company is set to launch a Christmas-themed live roulette room to celebrate the upcoming holidays.
The room is set to go live on December 16. Casino customers will be able to play roulette in a bespoke environment with the Christmas spirit popping out from every corner and nook. Dedicated table layouts, typical Christmas characters, and dealers sporting festive outfits will complement the overall atmosphere Playtech will provide clients and players with during the much-loved holiday.
Commenting on the announcement, Playtech Live Casino Innovation Head Kevin Kilminster noted that it was a true delight to be offering the Christmas roulette room to their licensees. The official further noted that the room was their way of thanking live casino clients for sticking with them over the past year.
Playtech has been investing heavily in its live casino offering as it has become clear over the past several years. Last year, the major supplier debuted Prestige Roulette, the first installment in the Prestige live casino series. Set in a neon-lit environment, the game adds a futuristic touch to a much-loved and long-popular casino title. Prestige Roulette offers multiple camera angles, quicker betting rounds, and replays of winning spins. Prestige Baccarat, the second game in the series, was launched late last month. Both games are available across all channels.
It was in November again when Playtech rolled out a new live roulette product intended for mobile players. Following months of testing and comprehensive analysis, the game was received quite well by both licensees and their gambling customers once launched. An innovative feature the mobile roulette included was the opportunity for players to play either in a landscape or in a portrait mode.
In addition to Prestige Roulette, the newly launched Prestige Baccarat and the HTML5 mobile roulette product, Playtech’s live casino portfolio includes all-time casino favorites like blackjack, poker, baccarat, and Hi-Lo.
In its half-year report, the major supplier said that live casino was among its best performing product verticals. The company posted overall gaming revenue of €306.4 million for the six months to June 30, 2016. Revenue from casino products totaled €177 million during the period in review.
