Stefan Gustafsson Appointed as Tech Division CEO at Mr Green & Co

Swedish online gambling operator Mr Green announced it has appointed a new CEO of the tech division of its parent company Mr Green & Co, following the departure of Niclas Enhörning who previously occupied the position.

Stefan Gustafsson is to assume the position of acting Chief Executive of Mr Green & Co Technology AB. Gustafsson succeeds Enhörning, who assumed the role of Chief Executive of Mr Green & Co Technology in November, 2014. The new Chief Executive is to oversee operations at the company’s subsidiary which supplies various technology solutions to companies across the Mr Green group.

Gustafsson boasts a considerable experience in senior positions within the IT field, among other positions such as Chief Information Officer at Elon Group, Boxer and Com Hem.

Per Norman, Chief Executive of parent company Mr Green and Co AB, commended Enhörning for his success in leading the work of developing Mr Green’s new technology platform which was unveiled in the beginning of the year. Norman went on to say the introduction of the new technology platform allowed the gambling operator to implement new flexible features as well as to improve the development of the company’s data-driven customer communications.

Per Norman noted the technology platform has also enabled Mr Green to develop a new business strategy which the company is currently implementing. It is called Mr Green 2.0 and is built on five keystones, namely brand, product offering, user experience, geographical expansion and responsible gaming.

Norman revealed Niclas Enhörning’s departure can be attributed to his plans to start up his own business venture and concluded by expressing his appreciation for Enhörning’s work.

Founded in 2007, Mr Green has developed into a key online gambling company with a broad customer offering and strong international presence with operations in 13 countries. Mr Green aims at offering entertainment and quality gaming experience in a secure and responsible environment. In 2015, the casino operator reported it had generated a total of SEK793 million in revenue.

The company’s headquarters and technical development division are based in Stockholm, while it operations department is based in Malta. In November, Mr Green’s shares were listed on the Nasdaq Stockholm market. The casino operator has been granted licenses by regulatory authorities in the UK, Malta and Italy.
