Swedish provider of online casino content announced that it has entered another European regulated jurisdiction, thus further implementing on its international expansion strategy. Under a content distribution agreement with National Lottery Bulgaria, a selection of NetEnt’s online slot titles have gone live in the Bulgarian regulated iGaming market.
National Lottery Bulgaria is currently among the leaders in the provision of retail products to gambling customers in the South-East European country, scratch-cards being its core offering. Bulgaria has recently re-regulated its online gambling market, unlatching it for international service providers.
The introduction of a new regulatory framework and the growing demand for attractive online gambling offering have urged National Lottery Bulgaria to introduce this type of products as part of its growth efforts. It has been understood that NetEnt has become the gambling operator’s exclusive supplier of online slots content.
Commenting on the recently secured partnership, Enrico Bradamante, Managing Director of NetEnt Malta Ltd. and Chief of European Market Operations, said that expansion across regulated jurisdictions constitutes an important part of their growth strategy and that they are happy to have their games launched in Bulgaria with National Lottery Bulgaria.
Milen Ganev, Chief Executive of National Lottery Bulgaria, added that they see a stable partner in NetEnt as its gaming content matches the operator’s gambling entertainment concept.
Only this month, NetEnt’s expansion efforts resulted in the company entering three new jurisdictions with markets that hold great potential for turning into highly lucrative ones. Early in December, the Swedish supplier announced a content distribution deal with Spanish gaming powerhouse Codere. The agreement secured NetEnt with entrance into the Mexican gaming market where the aforementioned gambling operator boasts strong presence.
In mid-December the provider entered another recently regulated market. NetEnt launched its online casino games for Portuguese players in partnership with French gambling operator Betclic Everest Group. The latter has become the first online gambling company to receive a license for the operation of gambling services in the local market. Betclic was first granted a sports betting license and later on obtained a second one for the provision of online casino games.
