The mechanics are as follows: the player bets on either his hand, the banker’s hand or for a tie. Once the bet is in place, the banker deals two cards for both the banker and the player; the hand closer to 9 wins and the casino settles the wagers according to its paytable. Check whether the Tie award is stated as “to 1” (profit) or “for 1” (including the returned stake); the two are not interchangeable.
The hand values are calculated as per standard Baccarat – each of the numbered cards, except 10, plays its value, while 10s and higher count as 0, and Aces are 1. If the value of the hand is 10 or high, only the second digit acts as total value.
The minimum bet is €2, while the maximum is €500. Do note that if you bet on the Banker and he wins, you must pay a 5% commission on your winnings, so a winning €500 Banker wager earns €475 after a €25 commission, with the €500 stake returned separately.
