The names of the finalists, who are going to take part in the Poker Hall of Fame this autumn, have become clear. They are: Ted Forrest, Daniel Negreanu, Jack McClelland, Jennifer Harman, Humberto Brenes, Huck Seed, Mike Matusow, Bob Hooks, Bruno Fitoussi, Chris Bjorin.
Five of the finalists were selected last year as well, Bjorin and Harman are famous for being finalists for three years as well as Seed who was among the selected for the last three out of four years.
It is the first year in the career of Daniel Negreanu and Bruno Fitoussi to be included in the finalist list.
The names of the finalists will be sent to a jury of 20 people as well as to the 21 living members of the Hall of Fame.
Players’ accomplishments and awards are recorded below:
Ted Forrest is a promising player, famous for being a bracelet winner six times and having won the WPT and NBC Heads-Up titles. He owns the sum of $6 million, he has earned by taking part into different prestigious tournaments.
Daniel Negreanu. Five final tables on the European Poker Tour, six bracelets, two World Poker Tour awards and funds equal to $30 million are just few of the accomplishments in his career.
Jack McClelland is, without a doubt, a notable figure in the poker history. Currently 62 years old, he moved to Vegas with the aim of helping his mother. His tutors were Eric Drache, Jack Binion and Bobby Baldwin. Later on, he was included in the WPT.
Jennifer Harman is another legendary poker star. During her career, she won two bracelets and two WPT final tables. Her earnings have been estimated to be almost $2,5 million.
Humberto Brenes is recognized as the player who has won two bracelets, a main event final table and 82 cashes, which made him $6 million richer.
Huck Seed is a NBC Heads-Up champion. 12 years ago he won the main event. During his career, Seed won a bracelet four times. His earnings are almost $8 million.
Mike Matusow is also known as “The Mouth”. He can take pride in having won four bracelets, two main event final tables and the NBC Championship.
Bob Hooks was second in the 1975 main event. He has a vast experience in the poker industry. He used to travel around Texas and Arkansas, which made him recognizable as the “road gambler”.
Bruno Fitoussi has French origins, which enabled him to popularize the hold’em in his home country. He was the winner of the World Heads-Up Poker Championship in 2001.
Chris Bjorin – his 68 cashes and two WSOP bracelets make the Sweden player a main figure in the contemporary poker game.
One or two members are selected for the Poker Hall of Fame every year. Currently, the enshrinement ceremony takes place every fall in the Penn and Teller Theatre.
