Poker Tournaments Starting January 29-February 4

This week in poker promises thrill for the bravest high rollers as well as for fans of different poker formats. Aria Casino in Las Vegas will kick off the inaugural US Poker Open, while not far away, The Venetian will celebrate the start of the DeepStack Extravaganza I. Two more major festivals are set to begin this week, one in Wisconsin, the other in the Russian city of Sochi. Here are some more important details about what players could expect from this week’s poker events.

DeepStack Extravaganza I

The Venetian Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas Strip will open its doors for a massive festival, running from January 29 through February 25. The DeepStack Extravaganza will feature over 40 different tournaments and satellites, with buy-ins for those varying from $300 to $1,600 for the Main Event.

That particular tournament is scheduled to kick off on February 19. It can be found on the festival’s schedule as the $1,600 No-Limit Hold’em SuperStack with a guaranteed prize pool of $1 million. A three-day $1,100 No-Limit Hold’em with a guaranteed prize pool of $500,000 and a single-day $1,100 No-Limit Hold’em $300 Bounty with a guaranteed prize pool of $100,000 are also among the highlight tournaments on the schedule of The Venetian’s DeepStack Extravaganza.

WSOP Circuit Potawatomi

The WSOP Circuit’s next stop will be at Potawatomi Hotel & Casino in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The casino will play host to the poker series from February 1 through February 12. As usual, there will be 12 events to offer players the opportunity to win a WSOP Circuit gold ring as well as several more special events.

The gold ring tournaments will include a three-day $365 No-Limit Hold’em with a guaranteed prize pool of $150,000, a $365 Monster Stack with a guaranteed prize pool of $100,000, a $2,200 High Roller tournament, and the $1,675 Main Event with a guaranteed prize pool of $750,000. The latter tournament will start on February 9 and will be played over four days, including two starting flights.

US Poker Open

Aria Resort & Casino has come up with another major high roller festival. The inaugural US Poker Open is set to debut at the popular Las Vegas casino on February 1. It will run all the way through February 11 and will feature a total of eight different events.

Here it is important to note that the high roller festival’s schedule includes different poker games, not just No-Limit Hold’em ones, although these dominate the US Poker Open calendar. There will be six of them.

However, player will also be able to enter a $10,500 Pot-Limit Omaha on February 2, and a $26,000 Mixed Game tournament on February 5. Buy-ins for the tournaments will be $10,500, $26,000, and $52,000 for the final three day No-Limit Hold’em. That particular event will be played on February 9-11.

Eurasian Poker Tour partypoker Snowfest – Sochi

The EAPT and partypoker announced their partnership last year. The two poker brands will be working together to popularize their live poker tournaments across both Europe and Asia. Sochi Casino and Resort in the Russian city of Sochi will once again play host to a major live poker festival.

The major poker event will take place over February 3-13. It will feature a plethora of tournaments, varying in their formats and buy-in fees. The highlight tournament will of course be the EAPT partypoker RUB66,000 Main Event. The event will run from February 4 all the way through February 13. It will feature a guaranteed prize pool of RUB60 million.

The RUB30,000 Russian Poker Championship with a guaranteed prize pool of RUB10 million will be one more particularly exciting event to follow along. The event will take place on February 3-6.
