Representatives of PokerStars have recently announced that they will take up an approach that is pretty unusual for the gaming industry. In honor of the 10th anniversary of the European Poker Tour live poker circuit, every winner at the 11th season of EPT as well as all skillful players who take part in online tournaments, will be given a special edition of a coffee table book.
The book itself puts emphasis on the great variety of stories that have happened during the years as well as on quotes, features and impressive photographs. That’s the official information, released on the blog of PokerStars.
Managers of the platform also added that all images and stories, gathered in the book, represent the great transformation of people’s attitudes towards the game of poker. According to them, the European Poker Tour has become a widely recognized event and everyone, regardless of their living standard, is welcome to take part in it.
The book consists of 300 pages and each one of them reveals a gripping story of the history of EPT. The saga of the EPT starts with the first CEO John Duthie and finishes with the contemporary accomplishments of EPT and its success and popularity worldwide.
The book is a limited edition and it also includes the thorough story of the tour – from the first season to the records that have been broken by skillful players. Stephen Bartley also added that the book includes features on players whose indisputable skills are now part of the contemporary poker traditions.
Needless to say, the names of all those people who were in charge of making everything go smooth and providing players and fans with the facilities and conveniences they deserve, have also been mentioned in the book. Organizers of EPT are convinced that without the joint efforts of every member of the staff, the tournament would not have become so popular.
Although market analysts say that the public would find the book worthy of reading, PokerStars officials have decided to give it as a gift to a small circle of people, predominantly poker pros and the best players during the seasons.
All players who would like to acquire the book can do that either by participating and winning an event, organized by EPT or purchasing the book with their FPPs. The book will be available in the VIP store of PokerStars within a few days as well.
Players will also be provided with a third chance to get a copy of the book. During this month the book will be given as an award during a special event in the EPT Live show that is going to be broadcast while the EPT is in Prague.
