Another busy week for poker is just about to begin with major festivals taking place all over the globe. South Korea’s Paradise City will welcome the latest AJPC leg, while the Czech Republic will host not one but two major poker events – the EPT Prague and the partypoker Grand Prix Gala. All of these will feature rich schedules with multiple tournaments, different poker variants, and both affordable and a little less affordable buy-ins.
Here is a little more information about what fans of poker and players should expect this week.
AJPC Asian Circuit Main Event
Paradise City in the South Korean city of Incheon is playing host to the All Japan Poker Championship (AJPC) Asian Circuit. The exciting festival kicked off on December 7 and is set to run all the way through December 16. Overall, its schedule includes 31 different events, including satellites that give players the opportunity to enter various poker tournaments for less than their original buy-in.
The KRW1,1,00,000 Main Event, the tournament everyone is waiting impatiently for, is set to start on December 13 with the first of three starting flights. The event will feature two more days of play and its winner will be crowned on December 15.
The KRW10,000,000 Super High Roller is another exciting tournament worth mentioning in this article. The event will take place over two days, starting December 15, and will be the highest buy-in within the schedule of the ongoing poker festival at Paradise City.
European Poker Tour Prague
Moving to Europe, the EPT is wrapping another year of poker thrill and quality action with its traditional festival in the Czech Republic. Hilton Prague Hotel in the Czech capital is currently hosting the event.
As usual, the EPT Prague schedule is rich in events and tournament format. Poker festivities kicked off on December 7 and will continue at the host venue for another week. The EPT Prague Main Event starts December 12 with the first starting flight. Players will have to pay a €5,300 buy-in to enter the tournament. There are also multiple qualifiers scheduled ahead of and during the Main Event.
The tournament will feature two starting flights and five more days of play until the winner is awarded their first-place prize and the accompanying trophy on December 18.
partypoker Grand Prix Gala
With 36 different tournaments on the schedule of the partypoker Grand Prix Gala, partypoker is looking to close another successful year of exciting live festivals around the globe. King’s Casino Rozvadov in the Czech Republic is playing host to the major poker event. It started Sunday, December 9, and will close on December 31.
The rich schedule includes multiple poker tournaments with affordable buy-ins. The first few days of the festival are to be played online. They actually involve players entering the Grand Prix Germany by playing on partypoker’s online platform. The first of four online flights kicked off yesterday. The final one will be played on December 12.
December 13 will see the official start of the event at King’s Casino. The partypoker Grand Prix Germany will feature a €220 buy-in fee. Players will be able to enter via one of eight starting flights at the casino, if they have failed to win an entry through one of the online flights. Aside from the multiple starting flights, the event will feature two more days of play.
The €550 Grand Prix Gala will start on December 15 with the first of two online starting flights. Play at the host casino will kick off two days later with Day 1A. The event will run all the way through December 31, when the lucky winner will have a lot to celebrate.
