The WSOP Circuit Bicycle Casino stop is approaching its final stages with the $1,700 Main Event currently taking place. The tournament’s second and last starting flight was completed last night at the host casino with 67 players bagging.
Eli Loewenthal had collected the largest stack by the end of Flight B with 382,000 in chips. The player will also progress into Day 2 of the event as the overall chip leader. Loewenthal has not won any pieces of WSOP jewelry so far, but that does not mean he is stranger to both the WSOP and WSOP Circuit series.
The player boasts nearly $400,000 in earnings from the two series and has cashed in 47 WSOP and WSOP Circuit events over the course of his poker career.
Loewenthal stayed about mid-stacked throughout Day 1B and it was not before the final few levels of the day that the player began gaining momentum and accumulating chips in front of him at his table at the famous Bicycle Casino.
Nick Phoenix, the Day 1A chip leader, sits second in the leaderboard with 343,000. Craig Varnell with 335,000, Ankush Mandavia with 320,000, and Shane Raikes with 288,000 round out top five of the temporary chip counts chart after Days 1A and 1B.
Field and Prize Pool

The tournament’s entries created a prize pool of $690,840. The places paid and the first-place prize are to be announced by organizers at the start of Day 2. It is also important to note that aside from a hefty payout and a piece of WSOP Circuit gold jewelry, the champion will also secure an automatic entry into the season-ending Global Casino Championship along with the winners of Main Events throughout the season and a few lucky others.
Three-time gold bracelet and one-time gold ring winner David Pham topped the field of the latest WSOP Circuit Bicycle Casino stop this past spring. The player defeated a field of 705 entrants for a first-place prize of $216,790.
Day 2 of the ongoing Main Event kicks off today at noon local time. As many as ten 60-minute levels will be played before the remaining survivors bag for Day 3. Seven-time gold ring winner Vincent Moscati and former bracelet winners Sandeep Pulusani and Tuan Le will be among those to return for Day 2 action.
