Online casino games provider Pragmatic Play has secured entry into the regulated gambling market of Colombia through a recent content supply deal with locally licensed operator Wplay.co.
Under Pragmatic Play’s latest agreement, the Colombia-facing operator and its customers will gain access to the supplier’s suite of slot titles, including player-favorites such as Da Vinci’s Treasure, Wolf Gold, and Mustang Gold.
In 2017, Wplay.co was the first operator to receive a license for the provision of online gambling services as part of the reorganization of the Colombian market. The digital betting and gaming operation quickly gained momentum in the newly regulated space to become one of its leaders.
The deal with Wplay.co marks Pragmatic Play’s first foray into the Colombian online gambling market.
Of their newest milestone, Pragmatic Play Chief Business Development Officer Yossi Barzely said that they are thrilled to be live with Wplay.co and that as part of their strategy to enter new regulated markets, they are “looking forward to a long and successful partnership with Wplay.co.”
Last week, Pragmatic Play debuted its new promotional tool – Pragmatic Play Enhance – which includes a suite of marketing and gamification features that aim to boost customer experience. The newly released tool acts as an add-on to the supplier’s existing casino content portfolio. This means that Pragmatic Play’s clients will not have to make additional development investment in order to be able to deploy it.
Pragmatic Play’s New Client
Wplay.co is a 100% Colombian enterprise that employs people with wealth of experience in the online gambling sector. The operator was born from the vision of corporate group AQUILA GLOBAL GROUP S.A.S. and as mentioned earlier, was the first digital gambling operator to receive a license for the provision of online sports betting from Colombia’s competent regulator – Coljuegos.
Of their gaining access to Pragmatic Play’s gaming content, Wplay.co CEO Julio Cesar Tamayo said that the supplier’s games “stand out in a crowded marketplace” and that they are thrilled to have them on board.
Mr. Tamayo added that they are looking forward to “offering our customers the very best in immersive gaming from the slot provider’s innovative portfolio.”
Pragmatic Play’s entire portfolio of online slots is available to gambling operators via a single API.
The content supplier has had busy 12 months or so, securing content supply agreements for a number of regulated markets with major gambling operators. Over the past year, the company’s slots as well as newly launched live casino and bingo products have gone live with the likes of Kindred, Casumo, and 1xBet, among others.
Pragmatic Play has also gone live in Sweden with the country’s former gambling monopoly – Svenska Spel. Following the reorganization of the Swedish market, Svenska Spel launched an online casino operation to bring its business in line with the new regulatory regime.
