Pragmatic Play today announced that it has obtained a Recognition Notice by the Malta Gaming Authority in addition to its license by the regulator.
The Malta-based developer and supplier of online casino content currently holds a Critical Supply License by the Malta Gaming Authority, which enables it to offer its products to locally licensed operators.
The recently awarded MGA Recognition Notice now gives the supplier the green light to offer its brand-new Live Casino and Bingo products to MGA-licensed online gambling operators.
According to the official website of the Maltese gambling regulator, a Recognition Notice is issued by the Authority “whereby an authorisation issued by another Member State of the EU or the EEA, or a State which is deemed by the Authority to offer safeguards largely equivalent to those offered by Maltese law, is recognised as having the same effect as an authorisation issued by the Authority.”
The Recognition Notice thus allows online gambling companies to provide a gaming service or product in or from Malta.
Including Malta, Pragmatic Play is licensed and certified to provide its portfolio of titles in more than 20 countries.
Commenting on obtaining the notice, Pragmatic Play Chief Business Development Officer Yossi Barzely said that they are delighted to “have passed the stringent criteria” of the Malta Gaming Authority and are looking forward to offering their latest products.
Pragmatic Play’s New Live Casino Product
News about Pragmatic Play’s entry into the live casino segment first emerged this past January. The company’s live dealer offering includes some of the most popular casino games, such as baccarat, blackjack, and roulette.
In April, Pragmatic Play announced that it has been granted the necessary approval to open a live casino studio in the capital of Romania, Bucharest. The Romanian gambling regulator, ONJN, issued a Class II license to the major supplier in order to be able to operate its facility.
The studio features 43 tables with variants of the above-mentioned three popular casino games, including Live Speed Roulette, Live Auto Roulette, and Live Baccarat Super Six. The games are hosted by skilled dealers and are delivered via 4k video technology and an easy-to-navigate-through user interface.
Introducing its Live Casino offering earlier this year, Pragmatic Play also revealed that it would offer mobile-first experience in line with the industry’s most prominent trends.
The supplier has already signed several important clients to roll-out its new Live Casino product with, including Austrian online gambling veteran Interwetten, iGaming and betting giant 1xBet, and fellow online gaming supplier SOFTSWISS, among others.
The company also debuted a bingo product earlier this year to make its first foray in that field, as well. Pragmatic Play’s bingo features a mobile-first design and many of the most popular bingo customization options currently available on the market as well as the industry’s first in-game lobby on mobile, alongside a simplified card view feature and additional prizes for bingo aficionados.
