Online casino games studio Stakelogic has secured a license in Romania that would enable it to roll out its full library of titles with locally licensed iGaming operators.
In a press release issued today, Stakelogic confirmed that it has been granted a Class II gaming license by the Romanian National Gambling Office, ONJN.
The recently obtained authorization allows Stakelogic to provide its full suite of classic and modern online slots to operators that are licensed in Romania. Aside from its ONJN license, the iGaming provider has previously been certified by the competent regulators of Malta and Sweden.
Through its license by the Malta Gaming Authority, Stakelogic is able to provide its content in a number of jurisdictions. As for its license by Spelinspektionen, it provided the content supplier with the opportunity to offer its titles to operators authorized to service Swedish gambling customers under the Scandinavian nation’s new gambling law.
Stakelogic said today that in addition to its previously obtained licenses in Malta, Sweden, and Romania, it will also pursue certification in the UK, Italy, Spain, Denmark, and Portugal by the end of the year.
Commenting on their upcoming launch in Romania, Stakelogic’s CEO Stephan van den Oetelaar said that the ONJN license represented another milestone for his company and that with said license “we can now offer our operator partners active in the market the latest online gaming products players want to play.”
Recent Sale
Stakelogic was established in 2015 in the Netherlands as a gaming development division of online gambling company Greentube, a subsidiary of gambling giant NOVOMATIC. From day one, Stakelogic has focused its attention on developing a healthy selection of online slots, both classic and modern ones, deploying innovative technology. Crafted in HTML5, the games are available across desktop and mobile.
Stakelogic has premiered a smart progressive jackpot system that has paid out more than €1 million to players since its launch.
Another industry innovation the company takes pride in has been its Quattro system that allows gambling customers to play up to four slots games simultaneously.
Last year, Greentube announced that it has agreed to sell the Netherlands-based gaming studio to an investor for an undisclosed amount. Following the announcement about its sale, Stakelogic also appointed a new Chief Executive Officer in the fall of 2018.
Mr. Van Den Oetelaar was tapped as the gaming developer’s top executive after it changed ownership. The company’s boss brought more than 25 years of experience in the IT sector to his new role.
Of his strategy as Stakelogic’s head, Mr. Van Den Oetelaar said last year that the studio would keep itself focused on providing games that players want to play. In addition, the executive revealed that Stakelogic would continue to offer to its clients games that range from “global to hyper-local”.
As it can be seen, the gaming developer has also embarked on an expansion that will see its games go live in some of Europe’s largest online gambling markets.
