Provider of online casino games and related software Playson is now fully certified to provide its products in the Swedish online gambling market.
In a press release from earlier today, the company said that it has successfully completed a security audit following a testing process across its engineering, integration and product departments.
The audit has established that Playson is fully compliant with the requirements set out by the Swedish Gambling Authority for the provision of online gambling products under Sweden’s new gambling law, which took effect on January 1, 2019.
Playson said that today’s announcement showcases its commitment to regulated markets and robust approach to regulatory compliance.
The casino content supplier has been certifying its top-performing and most popular games such as Book of Gold: Double Chane, Wild Warriors, Rise of Egypt, and the Timeless Fruit Slots series since day one of regulated online gambling on the territory of Sweden. The country opened its market to international operators and games providers on January 1, 2019, when its new gambling law took effect.
Playson said that its games have already proved extremely popular in Sweden and with it now being fully certified by the local Gambling Authority, it will be able to further expand and cement its position in the Swedish market.
An Important Market
Of today’s announcement, Playson Compliance Manager Liubomyr Bedratiuk said that Sweden is an important market for them and “to have our offering made fully compliant is an important move for the company.”
Mr. Bedratiuk added that “they have a strong infrastructure in place that can react quickly to regulatory changes.” The compliance official also pointed out that Playson is fully committed to working in regulated jurisdictions and that they are looking forward to further consolidating their Swedish presence over the course of the next few months.
Playson operates offices in Malta and Ukraine and develops content for the regulated European marketplace. The company’s portfolio currently includes more than 60 HTML5 titles that are available across desktop and device. Aside from Sweden, Playson’s products are also licensed and certified by the gambling regulators of the United Kingdom, Romania, and Malta.
The online gaming supplier has boasted several strategic content supply deals in recent months that would help it deliver on its strategy to expand across regulated jurisdictions. Last month, Playson announced that it has secured greater exposure across Italy through a partnership with locally licensed iGaming and betting operator Betflag.
In June, Playson penned a content supply deal with leading Lithuanian operator TOPsport for extended presence in the local online gambling market and across the Baltics, as a whole.
The online gaming supplier also teamed up with LeoVegas earlier this year to have its content rolled out with the major mobile-focused gambling operator across the markets it is licensed to operate in.
