Horseshoe_Casino_Baltimore_RenderingThe Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency released a report on December revenues from gambling activities in the state. According to the results posted, a total of $85,6 million were generated during the last month of 2014.

Hollywood Casino Perryville earned the amount of $6,036,498. The casino features 1,158 slot machines and 22 gaming tables. Daily revenue that was generated per unit averaged $145.15 for slots, $1,922.53 for banking gaming tables, and $357.23 for non-banking gaming tables. The casino marked a 7% drop in turnover as compared to the numbers posted in December 2013. It earned a total of $6,490,544 a year ago.

Horseshoe Casino Baltimore, which currently features 2,500 and 147 gaming tables, generated the amount of $22,909,698 in December 2014. Daily revenue per unit was $152.12 for slots, $2,732.56 for each of the 122 banking gaming tables, and $1,013.61 for each of the 25 non-banking gaming tables. It is interesting to note that the gambling venue opened doors to visitors in August 2014.

Maryland Live! Casino was reported to have earned $50,234,547 from the 4,222 slot machines and 189 table games it operates. Daily revenue per unit amounted to $241.63 for slots, $3,889.86 for each of the 137 banking gaming tables, and $1,296.38 for each of the non-banking gaming tables. The gaming turnover that was generated at Maryland Live! in December 2014 dropped by 4.4% or $2,298,021 as compared to the figures posted in December 2013.

Revenue from gaming activities at Casino at Ocean Downs amounted to $3,372,910 in December 2014. Daily gaming turnover per unit was $136.00 for each of the 800 slot machines the venue features. Casino at Ocean Downs posted a 0.5% decrease in revenue as compared to that in December 2013. Back then, it generated the amount of $3,389,642 from gambling activities.

Rocky Gap Casino Resort’s revenue totaled $3,076,249 in December 2014. Daily gaming turnover per unit was $143.16 for slots, $1,067.84 for banking gaming tables, and $306.13 for non-banking gaming tables. Currently, the Cumberland-based gambling venue features a total of 577 slot machines and 17 gaming tables. Of those, 15 are banking and 2 are non-banking. Its December revenue marked a 17.1% increase as compared to last year. Back in December 2013, a total of $2,626,560 was generated.

Generally speaking, casinos in Maryland performed better in December 2014 than they did in December 2013. Gaming revenue marked a 31.7% increase amounting to $20,590,588. If, however, Horseshoe Casino Baltimore is excluded, the figures will be a bit different. As already mentioned, the gambling venue was launched in August 2014. Without its contribution, it could be said that a 3.6% drop in turnover was marked.
